In honor of Father Hesburgh's birthday, the ND Club of Boston supported a service day at Cradles to Crayons on May 10th. Cradles to Crayons provides low-income and homeless children the basic essentials they need to keep them warm, safe at home, and ready to learn at school. They hold these items at their warehouse, The Giving Factory.
A total of 23 volunteers participated from the ND Club of Boston community including thirteen individual volunteers and three families. The ND volunteers sorted clothing and books and prepared clothing packages. Approximately 34 clothing packages for children of various age groups were prepared. The Club is grateful for the time and energy provided by the volunteers. Cradle to Crayons continuously operates a collection drive of children’s items for The Giving Factory. Clothing, books, games and puzzles are always welcome. Their “10 Most Needed Items” can be found on the front page at www.cradlestocrayons.org. |
