Notre Dame Club of Boston

The ND Club of Boston's website is used by the club to communicate with its constituents. Each page displays the club's banner at the top. A search feature can be found in the upper right portion of the banner on any page. The search is performed over the club's web site.

Every page displays the main menu horizontally below the banner. Seasoned visitors will likely spend most of their time following the Activities and/or Calendar main menu items. Newbies may find the About, Web Links, FAQs, Site Map, and Contact Us main menu items useful.

After the main menu, each page displays the Newsflash area that is used to alert visitors to critical information like upcoming deadlines or events. Note that the newsflash area collapses when there is no currently critical information.

After the banner, main menu, and newsflash, the remainder of every page is composed of one to three columns. The main content column is the widest column. The narrower columns are found on the right or left edge of the page and contain features supporting the main content column. Often these supporting features take the form of additional navigation menus. For example, most pages contain a membership menu in the top of the leftmost column. This area should be of interest to newbies that are interested in joining the club.

The Activities main menu item leads to an additional layer of categorization. The "other" category contains information that does not fit in any existing category. New categories are created when an obvious collection of information is collected in the "other" category.

The club calendar can be accessed either by clicking on the Calendar main menu item or clicking on the calendar icon displayed in the left column (on some pages). The calendar icon displays the current month. Club events are indicated by dates in the calendar that have a light blue fill color.
