The ND Club of Boston is proud to sponsor in honor of Father Hesburgh’s birthday a service day at Cradles to Crayons on May 10th from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. This event is inclusive of both Notre Dame alums and family members, young and old. [Volunteers under 18 must bring a C2C Permission Form which can be retrieved from here.) on their volunteer date.]

Cradles to Crayons provides low-income and homeless children the basic essentials they need to keep them warm, safe at home, and ready to learn at school. They hold these items at their warehouse, The Giving Factory. We are looking for volunteers of all ages to work a shift inspecting books, matching outfits, sorting and testing toys, stuffing backpacks, or shopping to fill orders for local boys and girls.

Cradles to Crayons is looking for 30 adult volunteers. They have also requested that we organize a collection drive of children’s items to bring to The Giving Factory. Clothing, books, games and puzzles are always welcome. Their “10 Most Needed Items” are on the front page at www.cradlestocrayons.org.
